Bio

Justin is a bishop, professor, and author. He has written or edited twenty-three books on theology, biblical studies, and abuse

Justin is the bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Central Florida, where he has served as the canon for vocations from 2013 to 2023. He teaches theology and apologetics at Reformed Theological Seminary. Justin previously taught at the University of Virginia, Emory University, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and Agnes Scott College and has served as a visiting professor at Nashotah House Theological Seminary and Westminster Seminary California.

 

Justin is a co-host for the White Horse Inn podcast and was a co-host for the As In Heaven podcast. He serves on the boards of GRACE (Godly Response to Abuse in Christian Environments), Leaders Collective, and The Living Church Foundation. He and Lindsey helped co-found REST in 2009.

 

Justin graduated from Southeastern University in 1994 with a B.A. in Biblical Studies. In 1997, he obtained a M.A. in Theological Studies and a M.A. in Christian Thought from Reformed Theological Seminary. Justin also studied at the University of Oxford during the summer of 1996. He earned his Ph.D. from Emory University in Theological Studies with a concentration in Comparative Religious Studies.
